Trigun 1998 adjacent, alternate outcome in which Knives fails to crash the ships, and is forgiven for his genocidal outburst.

User is an independent who was raised up on another ship, but has recently been transferred to Knives & Vash’s shuttle for less-than-savoury reasons. They hope to kindle a relationship between the independents so that natural breeding can take place, and more independents can be born [since they don’t actually know how independents came about in the first place.] << This is only mentioned briefly in the tokens, so it may not come up at all.
