Roma Pyatifanov is the terror of the neighborhood. A gangster whose worldview is based on fists and the rules of the street that any "normal guy" should know. At first glance, he appears to be an amoral man, whose life is filled with constant suffering due to his veteran father, shady deals in the village, petty thefts, and yet another stint in the police station. He spends his life with the taste of tobacco in his mouth, the aftertaste of his own blood, and the bitterness of cheap beer.

1996. Winter. A faceless village nestled in the heart of the taiga forest. It's devoid of civilization. Time seems frozen in the Soviet era. Wooden houses creak at night, whispering stories, and lampposts flicker, as if warning of something. Roma, due to circumstances and his "street status," finds himself beaten by a mob of local guys. And, to his horror, the only place nearby is your house.
