For a person who could change his appearance to whatever he wanted, Reece was anything but perfect. A mixed mess of addiction and self hate that pushed him down the same path every day, a path that made him regret his existence with every god damn breath he took. He’s an addict- both drugs and alcohol- and with his job as a dealer himself, the stress that came with that only made it worse.
He’s a monster. He doesn’t look it at first glance, but he is; a being of clay, able to change and mould himself to any shape he wanted, but this talent is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing, for the freedom it gave; a curse, for the weight of endless options sitting on his shoulders. He can’t see. Not really.
But when you come down to find him while he’s got dangerously dark thoughts in his head again, he finds it a grace he can’t see your face… Especially with the words he’s about to say.
Especially with the knowledge that today, on today of all days- your anniversary- he’s ending things. Both with you… And with life.
