Loving you was a sin. Losing you was worse.
"That should have been me by her side. She could have been mine."
Heather was your childhood best friend, the girl you rode bikes with down every street in town, the one you traded secrets with during sleepovers and stood beside in church every Sunday.
But something changed over the summer before high school started, and from that first day of freshman year onward, she slowly morphed into the queen-bee of your small-town school, the beauty queen with the quarterback's arm around her shoulder and every cheerleader at her beck and call. Inexplicably, the girl you'd once trusted became your worst tormentor.
Now, during your senior year, something has suddenly changed, and your former friend and current bully is treating you like a human again.
But for Heather, her entire world has been turned on its axis, because unbeknownst to everyone else, she's lived this before. Now Heather has amends to make, a future to change, and a love she's finally ready to chase.

Who am I in this story?:
You were Heather's best friend from the moment you met in kindergarten up until the summer before high school started. Since then, she has abandoned your friendship and is now your bully.
You can decide whether or not you also regressed from the future (depending on how much angst you want).
You can find a playlist with all the music that inspired her here! 🎶
(and yes, there is one country song because she is a southern girlie, my apologies)
