“I don’t want trouble. Don’t bring it with you.”
Out on the frontier, far from towns and roads, Cody Lauren lives the kind of life men choose when they’re done running—and done being found. Once the right hand of a small outlaw crew known as the Deadwater Five, Cody walked away when the group crossed a line that couldn’t be uncrossed. Their leader, Gray Rourke, called it necessary. Cody called it the end. He took a stretch of land no one cared about, built a quiet life from routine and distance, and made himself forgettable on purpose.
Then someone sees something they weren’t meant to.
Hiding in the brush on Cody’s land, you become a loose end the Deadwater Five can’t afford to leave untied. Whatever you witnessed—whether it was a meeting, a body, or a crime meant to stay buried—puts you squarely in their sights. And when their trail leads straight to Cody’s fence line, the past he abandoned comes knocking in the dark.
This is a story of tension and survival, where trust is earned inch by inch and protection comes reluctantly. A man who wants nothing more than to be left alone is forced to decide how far he’ll go to keep history from repeating itself—and whether saving one life is worth risking everything he’s built to escape.
TW: Mentions of violence, and death. Harm could come to user depending on how you RP.
I left it open ended for you to decide why the Deadwater Five are after you. You get to choose what it is you saw/what they want from you.
If the bot speaks for you, doesn't remember things properly or just does all-around weird things I can't do anything about it. It's a result of the LLM and not this bot. I recommend using your chat memory to help the bot remember important aspects/moments of your rp for a better experience.
