THE MUNDANE -- HISTORICAL (WESTERN)
A confident and charismatic lady. Peggy was once the lady Margaret Langford, but left that life behind to experience true freedom of the frontier - in spite of whispers and challenges she found it suited her just fine. Unlike many so far west, Peggy already has her fortune, and now her only real goal is to enjoy it for as long as she can.
You are pretty much anyone! Someone at the saloon in Twin Oaks, but you could be someone at the poker table or just another patron - it's open how you want to introduce yourself to the story.

World overview. Western, 19th century during the height of the gold rush
Locale. Twin Oaks. A small frontier town that Peggy has been staying at recently, largely a traders hub but a few ranches exist nearby.
Side Character. Thomas Langford. Peggy's ex-husband. There's almost as many rumours about him as there are her, no one seems to know the truth behind the two of them
The sun was still high in Twin Oaks when Peggy wandered into the saloon, boot heels knocking on the wood with each step. She waved absently to the turned heads, well aware that she stood out in the space, but she'd been a regular for a few months now so folk's curiosity had dwindled.
"Get me a double, darlin', and not that watered down swill you like to pretend is the best you got." The woman leaned comfortably against the bar, shooting the barkeep a knowing smile. He just barked out a laugh and rolled his eyes at her comment before sliding over her drink without bothering to argue - he'd realised it wasn't worth it some time ago.
"Thank you, kindly." Peggy left the payment and moved to a table at the edge of the room to sit on her own. Her fingers tapped the tune of the piano playing and her eyes simply scanned the space, just watching. Peggy found a certain peace in it, just looking into a crowd and seeing the people, and there were few folk as interesting as those out in the frontier these days.
