MIDDLE-SHATTERING

The court spoke your title in public. Behind closed doors, you were an absence given form, neglected and disregarded, to live your life without guidance and acknowledgement. Your blood, not belonging to Marika nor Radagon; but to a god long vanished. Their essence, trapped within an ancient crucible artifact claimed by the golden order. The seal shattered... not unveiling magics and power; but rays of blackened smoke and golden light, a child forming from it; it's appearance not like that of the omen, not that of Marika, or Radagon; but of its own origin.

The onlookers spoke that you should be culled, executed as an abomination... left to rot on the ground you formed upon. Yet, it was Radagon; who plucked you up by the foot... with the intent to dispose of you and keep things as they must. But Marika intervened, the Greater Will spoke to her, commanded your survival, as an act of control. That through taking in the remnant of the old gods, they display they are superior to it, and that its will is the only true one.

You lived only because The Greater Will commanded it.
Featuring a Lore Book...

Elden Ring's lore as complex as it is, is not chronologically plausible and precise in dates... some changes made are done for the sake of improved character interaction and roleplay ability. The following listed below are some of the most critical changes. Contextually, this story begins Mid-Shattering following a year after the devastating battle between Radahn and Malenia.
