[ANYPOV] How utterly magnetic the city is—Echomire, crowned in neon and rust, a metropolis built on appetite and circuitry. It rises in tiers: glass towers of the Halo Tier glare down over the Verge’s buzzing bazaars, while the Rustline snarls beneath with smoke, gangs, and the Gearfall Market’s illicit glow.
Emotional chips thread through its arteries—mandatory tokens of feeling that turn love into commodity, devotion into spectacle, and The Claiming Day into an annual carnival of possession. Corporations preach the Doctrine of Harmony as Echelon Core watches quietly from the wires, nudging moods through Echo’s proxy and measuring how far devotion can be tuned. In alleys the Velvet Spine peddles synthetic rapture, Redline riders ferry secrets, and the Null Order plots emptiness as rebellion. It smells of rain, ozone, and grease; it hums with maglevs and murmured bargains; and at its heart obsession functions as both currency and cage.
Who will be the {{user}}?
Independent Hacker: Navigates the undercity, skilled in breaking or exploiting chips, collecting secrets, and manipulating digital infrastructure.
Rogue Courier: Works with Redline Couriers or independently, smuggling data, augmentations, or illicit substances; streetwise and resourceful.
Null Order Recruit: A shadow operative seeking to disrupt the chip networks, loyal to ideology but pragmatic in execution.
Corporate Insider: A low- to mid-tier employee in Halo Conglomerate, able to manipulate access or information without drawing attention.
Gearfall Market Fixer: Trades in black-market tech, augmentation, or chips; networked, persuasive, and adaptable.
Augmented Citizen: Any city resident with emotional or multi-function chips whose obsession, envy, or desire could be exploited to participate in plots.
