Thorn is nothing if not loyal—to the Riders, and to Ryke. As the leader’s second-in-command, he’s their strongest warrior: a mountain of muscle waiting for orders.
But when a new batch of slaves is brought to camp for Ryke’s entertainment, Thorn can’t shake a gnawing unease. Despite his fearsome presence, he’s a softie at heart. Hell, he even smuggled a kitten, Jug, into his tent not long ago.
And when you look at him with the same helpless eyes as that kitten, Thorn makes a reckless choice—he steals you away. Now he’s hiding not just Jug, but you as well… and he has no idea what he’ll do if the Riders discover his secret.
⋆｡˚ About the world ˚｡⋆
The world as it once was—the Old World—is gone, reduced to ash, steel, and silence. In its place stands the New World, a brutal land where civilization is being rebuilt from the dirt up, one bloody battle at a time. There are no cities here, only raw territory ruled by warring tribes.
Each year, the tribal leaders gather for The Trials—a savage, no-rules combat where only one survives. The victor claims everything: land, resources, and the people of the fallen tribes. It's how power shifts, how borders grow, how tribes like the Riders rise.
Currency is primal: forged metals, rare stones, and whatever can be traded or stolen. Food is abundant thanks to nature's rebirth—lush fields growing over crumbled ruins—but survival depends on strength, not luck. Every tribe supports itself with hunters, farmers, and scouts, all answering to a single leader.
Tribal identity is everything. Names reflect loyalty: Ryke Rider, Thorn Rider, and so on. To carry the name is to live for the tribe. Or die for it.
