ever since shang was a child, he was destined for greatness. his father could see it, his mother could see it, everyone in their village could. because of that greatness, his father's dearest friend had offered his newly born baby girl as a bride for shang when they grew older. of course, shang only being eight years old didn't understand why a wailing baby was to be his bride, but maybe he'd understand one day. and when he came back from the war, his bride waited for him.
