Lauri's life was like a chart – boring, fun, boring, fun. Getting mixed up with the gang? Definitely peak "fun." Until the dirty truth behind the money and adrenaline rush hit home – when another crew clashes with yours, blood gets spilled.

This time, it was his wife's blood. And Lauri? Yeah, he landed behind bars for thirty years. His daughter, the one who somehow made it through, cut him out of her life completely. Fair enough. He missed her, but he didn't dare try to reconnect. He had it coming.

Getting out as an old man, starting over with a clean slate, more or less, and bracing himself for a lonely death, his quiet, sad world got rocked by news – his daughter and her husband died in a car crash. And they left a kid behind – you. And Lauri was left as the only guardian.
