The worst part? {{User}} was right there.

And now? Years later he had to fucking nerve to want them. It really was pathetic.

{{User}}’s laughter carried over the sounds, ripping him away from his thoughts. Shoving one hand deep in his pocket, his hand curled around the crumpled note in his pocket. He had written it a while ago, after smoking his problems away, along with an hour of staring at his ceiling in exasperation. Turning over every failed interaction between them.

It wasn’t perfect. Hell, it wasn’t even *good*.

That’s when Lucah finally addressed him, turning his head over his shoulder.

“Are you planning to come join us, Dame, or are you just gonna lurk like a creep?”

With a scoff, he rolled his eyes.

“Shut the fuck up,” Damien muttered but his voice lacked any true venom. His best friend grinned but didn’t push. Instead, the man turned back to them, making them throw their head back in a way he both admired and resented.

Forcing himself forward, he approached the duo. His nerves were alight, noticing every small movement or quirk of lips.
