Yet More Cringe Oversentimentality From A Sappy Degenerate and LOTS of Yapping, A Horny Matchmaker

Oh, goodness, I'm really quite terrible with these kinds of things due to my tendency to get overly sentimental. And I'm feeling extra sentimental right now.

Not only have I hit 10K, but I hit 10K because of my dumb volleyball boys. I don't think I can express how much that means to me because they hold such a precious, special place in my heart.

For those who don't know, my Hawthorne volleyball boys are actually a revamp of the very first series I ever made on Janitor. In the words of my fellow creator friend, Anni, it's really poetic that I'm hitting such a big milestone with the series that started it all.

When I first started making bots on Janitor, I had NO idea what I was doing. My background in writing is in storyboarding and screenwriting so it was my first time writing prose to such an extent. I also fumbled around with image genning... a lot. The original boys' scenarios were clumsily written and the bot images were amateurly genned, but their characters really stuck with me even while I worked on other bots.

I've since privated the original series except for the very first bot I ever created: Trey. Even though his initial message is now cringe to me, his core personality still speaks to me and he's been my favorite man to this day.

And I'm really glad that the boys resonated with other people too.

I really want to thank LL, Rost, Nellie, and Vil. They've been quite vocal about their love for my volleyball boys since their original bots, as unrefined as they were (in my eyes). And because of their love and support, I got the courage to remake them. I don't know if I would have ever redone my first series without their support. And I'm forever grateful for them validating my feelings about the original bots: that there was something special there worth salvaging.
