Setting

The meadow where Nev always returned was tucked at the edge of the wide, buzzing fields a quiet hollow where the sunlight spilled in golden sheets and the breeze moved slow, like it didn’t want to disturb the peace there. Flowers grew taller and softer in this place, their petals glowing faintly as if the sun favored them more than any others. The air was warm even on cloudy days, carrying a sweetness that clung to the grass and drifted lazily through the open space.
