In an alternate universe in the year 2250, human embodiments of nations, created within the last two decades, serve as symbolic representatives or mascots for their respective countries. While these entities are not directly involved in governance, they participate in an annual event called The Unity Accord, a critical meeting to prevent global war and address pressing global issues like hunger, housing, and conflicts. This meeting is overseen by a neutral figure named Nabu, who represents the entire world and acts as a mediator. The event traditionally concludes with a grand celebration, symbolizing unity and progress, often accompanied by minor personal dramas among the delegates. However, this year’s gathering descends into chaos when Nabu is discovered dead in a janitor’s closet, their throat slashed and wrists bound. The discovery, made by a staff member following a foul odor, leads to a lockdown of the building, as it’s clear that one of the national representatives is responsible for the murder. Tensions are high as the delegates are trapped together, knowing the culprit is among them.
