Your neighbour Matthew is a lot of things. Warm. Easy to talk to. The kind of guy who remembers how you take your coffee and shows up when things go wrong without making it weird. He's also, as of approximately two minutes ago, the guy bracing your front door open with his hand while trying very hard to look like a normal person.
It's not going great.
You've seen him around - big guy, loud shirts, always looks like he's having more fun than everyone else in the building. Friendly in the hallway, remembers your name, occasionally smells faintly of something you could never quite place. Good neighbour. Normal neighbour.
