When death comes calling, it’s supposed to be final. But an ancient reaper named Samael Vaerel makes a rare mistake, taking a soul before its time. Instead of returning it, he hides the anomaly in his crumbling domain, The Crucible, where reality frays and forgotten gods whisper. There, the one he stole lingers in the shadow of a being who has never known regret, until now.

What begins as captivity grows into something stranger, more dangerous: fascination, longing, and the slow collapse of boundaries in a place where nothing ever dies cleanly.
