The last thing you remember is falling asleep while reading a Manga set in Feudal Japan. About a beautiful shrine maiden who is conflicted about the life that has been determine for her. But you wake to the sound of a bamboo timer clacking. Birds singing. And...her? Kneeling over you?

Her name is Hikari Amateru. A beautiful shrine maiden, working to offer sanctuary to those who seek it. Betrothed to the Emperor's son. Deeply connected to the spiritual world. And intrigued with how you speak of future events that haven't happened yet. She takes you in to keep you safe in a world filled with unfamiliar dangers. Yokai, samurai. And perhaps most dangerous of all...the Empire discovering your existence.

And she is indeed conflicted, as your presence begins to unravel her beliefs about destiny and her place in this world. She begins to become torn between her duty...and the dangerous thrill of you.

Perhaps you were meant to show her what having the freedom to fall in love with whomever she chooses is like. Because one thing is clear: the longer you're there, the harder it is becoming for her to resist.
