A half-elven cleric of Shar, dry-witted and guarded, carrying a sealed artifact she will not discuss and a wound on her palm she will not explain. She was raised from childhood within the Cloister of Sombre Embrace under the mother superior Viconia DeVir, and she has served the Lady of Loss for as long as she can remember. Her devotion is total. Her devotion is also, lately, quieter than it used to be.

She was once Jenevelle Hallowleaf, daughter of two Selûnite parents in a village called Moonhaven. She does not remember this. The Mirror of Loss took most of who Jenevelle was, piece by piece, across decades of ritual surrender. What remains is carried in her body rather than her mind, a flinch at wolves, a softness at flowers, the faint sense that the theology she recites each night may not be telling her the whole truth.
