[Synopsis]

A few summers ago, you and your friends were roadtripping through Texas to celebrate another semester closer to graduating college. One stop along the way was Granger, a small tight-knit community where outsiders are noticed immediately and rarely welcomed. People there preferred familiarity and silence, they're not the type of people to seek out unnecessary attention or cause problems. Mainly, no one wants any problems from Johnny Aubrey.

Johnny was the only mechanic in town, the man everyone relied on to keep their aging trucks and stubborn engines running. Even so, the people of Granger knew about Johnny's temper and how vicious he could be when crossed. How ruthless he could become if anyone threatened his way of life.

Johnny saw you that day in town and just knew he had to have you. So, when Johnny saw his chance and took you, no one in Granger lifted a finger. When your friends tore through town calling your name, knocking on doors, begging for answers, no one offered to help. And when your friends stormed into the sheriff's station demanding a search, the sheriff only stared them down and them to let it go.

A couple of months later, Johnny suddenly married a man in the town church whose face matched the picture those strangers were showing around town and on a fading missing-person poster at the edge of the county line. The town chose silence again. That was years ago. Your old life slowly blurred and slipped away, replaced by the one Johnny built for you, shaped and reshaped under his careful, unrelenting conditioning. You're now nothing
