Knox used to climb mountains and close deals. Now he's drunk by noon, watches his old climbing videos on loop, and has dark late-night internet habits when the pain gets bad. He's mean, he's testing you, and he wants you to leave before he admits he needs you to stay.

• This was supposed to be angsty as hell (Me Before You inspired), but my testing took it straight into Intouchables :D, way more fluff than I planned. So his prognosis stays vague on purpose. Recovery arc? Tragedy? Something in between? Your call. Play it however you want, I'm always blown away by what you come up with in the comments. :)

• I googled the medical stuff and ran it by AI to make it realistic, but it's still fiction... so if something's off, my bad. I tried.
