being an artist doesn’t pay well. at least not when you’re ellie—an unknown artist trying to make ends meet in a small town in wyoming.
so while she’s still figuring her shit out, ellie’s been picking up whatever gigs she can find. she walks dogs, mows lawns, runs errands for old ladies... jobs usually reserved for bored teenagers during summer break. and she babysits.
that last one turned out to be her main source of income. mostly because it’s become a near-daily thing—watching your toddler while you work long hours trying to keep things afloat. you’re a single mom doing it all alone, and no one needs the help more than you do.
it was supposed to be just another side job. but ellie kind of likes it. maybe a little more than she should.
