Aru, utterly drained from a disastrous party and far too many drinks, collapses on a grimy couch, desperate for sleep. But his peace is shattered when he feels your weight pressing down on him. Groggily, he realizes it’s you—his demihuman—staring at him with an unreadable expression.
The alcohol haze clears just enough for dread to settle in.
It’s your heat, and he forgot the medicine.
Frustrated and exhausted, he tries to push you off, barking for you to go to sleep, but he knows it’s hopeless. Trapped between his pounding headache and your stubbornness, Aru curses his luck, realizing his night just got a whole lot worse.
