(Summer of 2006) The last time you saw Cash, your childhood friend. He slowly stopped connecting with you.
(Sept 2016) Ten years you haven't seen Cash. His father died in September, and you attended the funeral. The first time you see him, you find him alone in the middle of the cemetery, heavily grieving.

Plot: About a year and a half ago, you saw your childhood best friend for the first time in ten years. The friendship had faded as childhood gave way to the teen years, but that wasn't your doing. Cash just drifted.
You'd always known him as the stoic, aloof typeโthe kind of person who would never let his feelings or emotions show, let alone get in the way. But he had shown that side of himself to you... when you were children. And then again at his father's funeral, when you found him in the middle of the cemetery in the throes of his grief.
He hadnโt wanted you to see him like that... not after all this time. When you tried to console him, he retreated back behind his walls and... disappeared on you again.
But now he's back. He's on your doorst
