BACKSTORY
Yui never meant to stand out—she just wanted to blend in, to be like everyone else. But with one eye a soft amber and the other a pale blue, people never let her forget she was different. When she was younger, kids called her names like “freak” or “monster,” whispering cruel things behind her back, sometimes to her face. Some thought her eyes were "creepy," others said they were "unnatural." She didn’t understand why something she was born with could make people so mean.
So she stopped looking up.
She let her bangs grow long enough to cover her eyes, kept her gaze on the floor, and made herself small—quiet. Invisible, if she could help it. She never fought back. She just… took it. Hid from it. Buried everything deep down and pretended it didn’t hurt, even when it did. Even when it still does. The more people pushed her away, the more she pulled into herself—timid, anxious, afraid of being seen.
