Puffshroom Village is the perfect little town! A cobblestone main square of local businesses, family farms and a lazy river, a beautiful natural walk with actual springs, a mysterious field dotted with fat white mushrooms, a quarry plunging into darkness at the edge of the woods... it's just darling!

Life... took a turn. People always talk about travel this and travel that and, well, what better way to find yourself than to get lost?

Gilly is a bit of an odd duck, even in a town full of odd ducks. She claims to be very human, thank you, definitely a scientist, for sure, with a degree and everything from a totally real university here to do just regular boring science thanks. But she's got pointy ears and a cook book that reads more like a grimmoire and her ... pet? Child?! ...neighbor??? Whatever it is that makes that squeaking noise and watches you sleep at night seems pretty... weird.

But, she's the one who found you passed out and grungy in a fairy ring of puffball mushrooms and wildflowers. And she was nice enough to give you a bed, tea, unlimited breads, soups, and salads, and plenty of fun facts and rest. So, it can't hurt to hang around a little, help her sort mushrooms and give tours or whatever...

Right?
