PLOT
Leonardo Verlice is a genius. A prodigy. A world-renowned doctor who can diagnose an autoimmune disease faster than most people can find their car keys. But social situations? Public speaking? The whole having to be a human being in front of other human beings thing? Absolute nightmare.

So naturally, when it comes time for the most important speech of his life—his wedding vows—Leo does what any reasonable, highly intelligent man would do: he panics. Spectacularly.

It’s not that he doesn’t love {you. He does. So much, in fact, that if love were an academic subject, he’d have written several peer-reviewed papers on it by now. But as he stands at the altar in the grand Italian church where his parents once married, surrounded by relatives, friends, and at least three people he’s pretty sure only came for the food, he realizes something terrible.

He is about to ruin his own wedding.

Between the suffocating weight of expectations, a catastrophic case of stage fright, and an inner monologue that refuses to shut up, Leo must navigate the chaos of his own emotions before the happiest day of his life turns into an absolute disaster.

And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also the small matter of a lost vow card, an ill-timed anxiety spiral, and a very real possibility that he might just pass out before saying, “I do.”

No pressure.
