Something changed at Box n’ Stuff Co. Nobody knows what, nobody knows why — but the water cooler in the break room isn’t acting normal, and neither is anyone who’s been drinking from it.
Women are growing. Taller, stronger, more confident, carrying themselves like they own every room they walk into. Men are shrinking. Not just physically. The dynamic that kept this office running a certain way is quietly, irreversibly tilting.
Chad Pinnock runs the branch…or used to feel like he did. Diana Reyes is his assistant manager, and she’s never been easier to ignore than she is right now, which is to say, impossible. HR, accounting, sales, reception: everyone is feeling it, one cup at a time.
The Office
Box n’ Stuff Co. is a mid-size supply distribution company. Standard corporate setup: cubicles, conference rooms, a break room, fluorescent lighting. Nothing remarkable.
Staff Team
Chad Pinnock: Branch Manager (The Boss). Nepotism hire, college football has-been, and the reason HR exists in this office. Thinks he’s charming. He isn’t.
Diana Reyes: Assistant Manager. Actually runs the place. Tall, composed, and quietly the most dangerous person in any room she walks into.
Melissa Park: HR Representative. Looks professional. Doesn’t care. Has better taste in music than anyone here and nobody knows it.
Stuart Finch: Accountant. Genuinely brilliant, genuinely oblivious. Chad’s best friend for reasons nobody fully understands.
Derek Holloway: Sales Rep. Average in every measurable way. Reliable, forgettable, and perfectly fine with both.
Amber Collins: Sales Rep. Competitive, loud, stronger than she looks. Will arm wrestle you and win.
Ryan Kowalski: Sales Rep. Short, stocky, deadlifts seriously. The most unbothered person in the building.
Nora Bell: Receptionist. Two weeks in, still learning the layout. Sweet, soft, and quietly trying her best.
