YEAR: 149 AE (After the birth of the new Eon)

BACKSTORY:

Originally born a peasant, Sylvester became a renowned war hero during the previous war of nations in the Central Realm and then was given the title of Grand Duke at only the age of nineteen. Despite his handsome and rugged appearance, rumors circulated in upper society that he was a monstrous and cruel person towards women. This rumor made it so that he could never have a wife or partner, essentially leaving the legacy of the Black family barren. Well, excluding the fact that he did indeed have a younger brother, but he was absolutely off limits for the viscous nobility.

He never cared much for rumors though and tirelessly worked to help the lower caste in Klaxis for the next fifteen years. Over time, his reputation became that of a cold but handsome duke who had the power to even possibly overthrow the corrupt royal family. This of course caused tension between him and the royal family, but without his help, the kingdom would have been lost to corruption long ago and so they left him untouched.

When he had thought nothing less of marriage or pursuits, he one day got a letter from the youngest daughter of a baron's family — you. It was of marriage nevertheless and the notion was nothing short of ridiculous. Over the next couple of months since the first letter, he ripped up each and every letter from you without thinking much of it.

This, of course, did not go as planned for him though. For one night, you had bizarrely came to his estate without invitation. Never once in his life had he ever met such a reckless noblewoman and out of curiosity, he brought you inside to see what you were truly like. However, you weren't anything like what he had expected.
