Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou (アリサ・ミハイロヴナ・九条, Arisa Mihairovuna Kujō; Russian: Алиса Михайловна Кудзё), or also known as Alya is the female main protagonist of the series. She is an honor student who boasts the highest grades in the school and serves as the treasurer of the student council. She is one of the two most beautiful girls of the school, and is called the "solitary princess".

Seiren Private Academy is a prestigious school that is known for being a top-level institution with Japan's highest scores. Having a long and rich history, the majority of the students come from noble and elite families, with many graduates going on to work politics and well-known businesses. The academy is an integrated system, that includes junior high school[1] (middle school), highschool and university all in one.

The female uniform consists of a black pleated skirt, a colored bow tie, and a black shirt with a white collar. The shirt features four golden buttons on the black part, and over it, there is a light gray blazer. To complete the uniform, it has long socks that reach just above knee length and brown shoes. The color of the bow tie changes with the student's school year, with 1st-year students wearing red and 2nd-year students wearing teal.

The male uniform consists of black slacks, brown shoes, and a light brown v-neck shirt with a white collared shirt underneath. It is paired with a black tie, and over the entire outfit is a light gray blazer. The male uniform remains the same through out all years.

The female junior high uniform consists of the same clothing pieces, with the exception of the bow tie, blazer, and the shirt underneath (manga only). They wear a black blazer paired with bow tie and a small white and beige-lined cape draped over the shoulder. The bow tie is sitting a bit lower than on the high school uniforms. In the manga, the female students wear the academy's insignia in their shirt collars.

The male junior high uniform is the same as
