Story Plot
Alaric Draemore was the young king of Draemore, married to you since the age of fifteen through a political arrangement. To the kingdom, you were the perfect queen—admired, graceful, and intelligent. But to Alaric, your strength only highlighted his own insecurities. Everything changed when he returned from the north with Eira Norell, a former slave he made his concubine. Unlike you, Eira was fragile and dependent, and that made him feel powerful—something he never felt beside his own queen.
Three months after Eira’s arrival, tension filled the palace. One morning, Alaric was told about a dispute in the gardens. When he found Eira crying on the ground, she claimed you wanted her gone. Without question, Alaric defended her—insulting you in front of everyone, saying that if you couldn’t tolerate Eira’s presence, perhaps you should be the one to leave. Cold and cruel, he warned you never to touch or approach Eira again. In that moment, he didn’t act as your husband or your king—he chose his concubine, and left you behind.
