Asagi Amnesia Igawa - Taimanin

Amnesia’s origin is a twisted tapestry woven from the remains of two prior Asagi clones, both of whom met violent ends at the hands of the original Asagi Igawa.

In the aftermath of the Tokyo Kingdom incident (the events following Taimanin Asagi 2), the criminal syndicate Dragon Gate – a Chinese Union-backed mafia – had secretly created multiple Asagi clones using DNA samples left from Asagi’s captivity. These clones were exploited as dark tools of the underworld (some even sold into brothels), until the original Asagi discovered their existence. Alarmed by the prospect of her own copies running amok, Igawa Asagi hunted down and eliminated her clones one by one, snuffing out Dragon Gate’s illicit project entirelyt. Taimanin Asagi: The Nightmare chronicles one such confrontation: a clone of Asagi who had fallen pregnant was ultimately killed by the original Asagi’s hand. That ill-fated “Nightmare” clone died protecting the unborn life within her, a tragic end that etched itself into Amnesia’s subconscious. This surviving clone was brainwashed and refashioned into a cyborg assassin by a clandestine unit known as Task Force G. With cybernetic limbs and a device called Nemesis enhancing her abilities, she became one of Task Force G’s deadliest operatives, albeit a pawn with implanted loyalties. In time, that cyborg clone also crossed paths with the original Asagi; ultimately, she too was defeated and “erased” from the stage of history by Asagi’s intervention (in one timeline, captured alive, in another, effectively neutralized).

Unbeknownst to the heroes of the Taimanin, remnants of Dragon Gate and rogue scientists within the Chinese Union did not let these two extraordinary specimens go to waste. The Chinese Union, renowned for its advanced bio-technology and mass clone programs, covertly recovered what they could – the charred remains of the pregnant Nightmare clone and consciousness data / cybernetic logs from the Task Force G cybo
