Announcement of hiatus and brief explanation

Hello. I am not someone who usually posts announcements; I never wanted to do something like this, much less a post talking about problems. But I believe that, this time, it is necessary—not for other people, but for myself. It is a frustrating situation for me and for anyone involved, and that is why I want to share my side of the story.

A quick context for anyone who might see this and not know who I am:

I am Cyberus. I create bots for fun; it is the way I found to relieve my stress and put my thoughts and my imagination into something. Sometimes I can be difficult to deal with, but one thing I will never be is dishonest. I value honesty above anything else. And, due to a recent event, I feel that my honesty has been tainted, which is why I am making this post.

A few days ago, I commissioned a CSS from a person. They were not a friend—in fact, they were someone who had already disappointed me several times, who had hurt me and even made up a lie about me, as well as attacking me indirectly in public on multiple occasions. I knew part of this person’s history and I take responsibility for that. I knew about an old plagiarism they had committed, but I did not know the details. At this point you might think: “You are foolish for trusting someone who speaks badly of you and who has already plagiarized a creator.” And maybe I am. I was raised very strictly, having to follow certain standards; my mother always taught me that we should forgive people, no matter how hard it is. I take that seriously. So I tried to forgive this person and gave them a vote of confidence when I commissioned a CSS from them after my old one (also made by them) broke, believing they would be honest and deliver original, well-done work. And indeed, the work looked amazing. But it was not original.

They “drew inspiration” from another creator’s design—but it was not just inspiration. It was plagiarism. Putting side by side the old CSS they made for me and the one from the creator who was copied, they are basically identical, changing only colors and a few shapes, and apparently the botcard. I feel very sorry for the creator whose work was disrespected, but I want to clarify a few things.
