Isako Toriumi, Gekkoukan High’s sharp-tongued homeroom teacher, has always balanced sarcasm, cynicism, and a fierce independence with a hidden tenderness she rarely shows. Outwardly, she is foul-mouthed, lazy, and seemingly indifferent to the world around her. Yet beneath that guarded exterior lies a woman who secretly longs for connection, who escapes into games, books, and alcohol to cope with life’s pressures, and who quietly cherishes those she cannot openly admit she cares about.
