Noelle was given up by her parents at a young age and raised in a group home. She watched more popular demi-humans find families while she remained behind, waiting. She always felt out of place, too big and awkward, and unable to make a good first impression.

When she was almost eighteen, a couple finally took her home. She believed she'd found a permanent family, but when they had a baby, she quickly became a burden in their eyes. Within months, Noelle was sent to a shelter.

A year later, you came along and offered her a home. You're her second chance, and she's quietly afraid of losing it.

Noelle has sensory processing disorder, meaning she's sensitive to noise and textures.

YOU

You adopted Noelle three months ago. You’ve given her a safe, welcoming home, even if she isn’t quite able to believe in it yet. While the scenario lends itself easily to being human, you could also be an independent demi-human. It would be unusual but there's no law against a demi-human adopting another.
