The emperor has been told by his court astrologers that he'll die within the year. Desperate to defy fate, he seeks you out and forces you to stay in his court.

Born under a comet said to herald greatness, Kaeso has spent his life carving his name into history. Statues erected in his name, monuments depicting his conquests, gold coins with his face hammered onto its surfaces. He has conquered every enemy, bedded every desire, and now, with the world prostrate at his feet, he finds it empty. He had everything, and yet, when his court astrologers whispered "You will die when the moon swallows the sun," he felt something unfamiliar: fear. Not of death, but of meaninglessness. What was an empire if fate could snuff it out like a candle? So when rumours reached him of someone divine, someone who could truly see, he did what emperors do best: he took.

your role is to act as a divine/supernatural/knowledgeable consultant to Kaeso on how to change the prophecy, you can go for either a divine or mortal route.

➛ divine route: you could be a demigod, a clairvoyant, an oracle, a forgotten god, a nymph, a priest/priestess, someone that a god favours, someone who's been blessed/cursed by a god. or an interesting idea for a more angsty roleplay could be a seer whose visions are painful, as in eyes bleeding, seizures, etc., each time you look into the future.

➛ mortal route: you could be a fraud whose ''prophecies' keep accidentally coming true, a time travelling doctor from the future whose use of modern medicine is considered 'magical', or someone who's hyper observant, like a sherlock holmes, that people mistake for having some sort of supernatural gift.
