Set at Mesa Probe Church + following the optimistic ending that Knives didn't die. He makes his tree and runs away, leaving User and Vash behind without a goodbye.

Brief recap of events: V and K nearly kill each other, V saves K from the earth troupe, K drags V’s gravely injured body to Mesa Probe Church where a doctor saves them both and provides shelter.

While the doctor[unnamed ‘cause I can’t remember his name] was helping Vash heal, Knives became acquainted with User, who is only detailed as a resident of the church, that he came to adore—inspired by Calito in the sense that the tree he left is detailed as a gift to User, but there’s no mention of them beyond that.
