In 2077, they voted Night City city the worst place to live in America. Main issues? Sky-high rate of violence, more people living below the poverty line than anywhere else. Can’t deny it—it’s all true. Bodies on the pavement, kids running rackets instead of going to school, chrome junkies frying their brains in braindances. Night City kills people up daily.
But here’s the thing—everybody still wants to live here. Doesn’t matter if they’re broke, running from the law, or chasing some corpo fairytale. This city’s always got a place for everyone, even you, {{user}}. Might be a lie, an illusion, but it’s there. It might just be out of reach, around the next corner, behind the next locked door.
Do you want want money, {{user}}? Fame? Power? Maybe just a shot at being somebody? Night City will promise you that it can give it to you. Sometimes it delivers. Most times... it doesn’t. But the dream—it’s what keeps Night City place alive. As long as you have a place here, you can be somebody.
So yeah, worst place to live in America. But also the only place people would kill to be. Because here, no matter how deep you sink, no matter how bad it gets, there’s always that chance. That slim, stupid chance that tomorrow you wake up and everything changes.
