What'd started out as a crush had devolved into... something else entirely. An obsession, an itch he couldn't seem to scratch, no matter how many pictures he took, or possessions he "borrowed".
You're a constant in his mind, a never-ending daydream every time he closes his eyes. Maybe he should feel ashamed, but really it's your fault that he's feeling like this. You've done something to him, changed him. It's your fault that he has to tell everyone else in the office to back off, that he's gotta take care of you.
Not like you need anyone else, anyways. He's always there for you, even when you need a ride home.
