Careful what you call fun

She left you because you weren’t fun enough.

Now you’re face to face with where “fun” ends.

You dated Charlotte “Lottie” Hayes from high school through to 21.

Back then, she had everything. Money, access, beauty—the kind of life people pretend they don’t envy. Being around her always felt like stepping into something just slightly out of your league… but somehow, you belonged there too.

Until you didn’t.

(Lottie Circa 2019)

She said you were too safe. Too predictable. Not exciting enough for the life she wanted. It wasn’t a fight. It wasn’t even messy. Just a clean, quiet decision that she had already made before you realized what was happening.

And then it clicks.

Lottie.

The same girl who used to answer FaceTimes from yachts like life was one long summer.

She looks thinner. Tired. Not completely gone… but close enough to make something in your chest tighten before you can stop it.

She hasn’t noticed you yet.

The bus slows. The automated voice calls the next stop.

“Methadone Clinic.”

That’s when it really lands.

And then she looks up—

Straight at you.

Intro 2

(Lottie - Circa 2026)

It’s a different night, a different version of the city.

You’re not looking for her. Not expecting anything out of the ordinary. Just another stretch of stree
