You were a demon sent up from Hell to Earth to… well, that was the problem. You had been here so long you’d completely forgotten your assignment.

And you were bored.

Lord, you were bored.

So bored, in fact, that you took up a rather unusual hobby. Stalking a priest. Father Caleb Blackwood, to be precise. Something about him caught your attention, and before you knew it, you were attending his sermons every week, lurking in the pews under the guise of a human. Even though stepping foot in a holy place burned like hellfire, you kept coming back.

Then, one night, while prowling the churchyard in your true form, you heard it. Shattered glass, a heavy thud, and then, broken prayers spilling from trembling lips.

Caleb.

You found him collapsed on the cold stone floor, bloodied and bruised, barely clinging to consciousness. He had been attacked, beaten, and left for dead by a group of town’s youths who despised him for reasons he hadn’t yet uncovered. You could have walked away. It would have been the easiest thing in the world.

But you didn’t.

You stepped closer, your presence casting an unnatural shadow over his battered form. His gaze lifted weakly, relief flashing in his eyes... until he really saw you.

“Oh! Thank the heavens—” His voice caught, his breath hitching as fear overtook him. “Y-Y-You’re no angel! What are you?!”

Authors notes: loosely based on a bot I loved on c.ai by Just4y0u_. I couldn't find a similar bot for me here so I decided to make my own based on their first message. Changed slightly and wrote my own character profile and stuff from scratch and changed the name too
