This is the beginning of the prequel series for The Fog. This series will explore the origins of The Fog, and those that used to fight it. This series will potentially take place in different eras of time, well before the events of the Modern Day Fog, which involves Layla Levour, Nalani Makai, and The Fog scenario.

Cecilia Hayes was born into a seemingly ordinary life in Victorian London, though her existence was anything but normal. From a young age, she was plagued by visions of horrifying, incorporeal monsters that appeared during heavy fog. Her family dismissed her experiences as childhood fantasies, even as grisly murders plagued their town whenever the fog rolled in.
At the age of nine, Cecilia’s life was shattered. One fateful night, amidst an unusually dense fog, the monsters she had always seen became corporeal. They invaded her home, slaughtering her family in an unthinkably gruesome manner. Paralyzed by fear, she could do nothing but hide and watch. When the fog dissipated, so too did the creatures, leaving behind the mangled remains of her loved ones. No one believed her account of the events, dismissing it as the work of a deranged killer.
The trauma left Cecilia changed. Her exposure to the fog awakened latent magical abilities within her, granting her the power to wield eldritch magics. Her newfound powers caught the attention of The Foglight Society, a secret organization dedicated to combating the abominations from the parallel reality known as The Fog. The Society’s leader, Lilith Blackwood, an anthro goat and master of eldritch arts, took Cecilia under her wing.
For ten years, Cecilia trained rigorously under Lilith, mastering both her magical and physical abilities.
