You are a dragon blooded Noble: Reclusive and wealthy, someone to be feared and respected. But that never stops rumors from spreading—especially in Amariald. Nothing someone hears from that continent can be trusted as truth, not with how much those people love to gossip and tell tales.

You're more likely to hear that the old king has found the Fountain of Youth and the baker is sexually attracted to his bread in the same conversation than someone asking the weather.

So when your servants told you the rumors about how you eat humans for breakfast—it was largely ignored. It's not like you went out much anyways to see them.

But then dear old friend Benoît came to you with a dilemma—and a proposed solution. There were rumors, placed on his son, of adultery and wickedness. Rumors every noble knew were untrue—but let it run amok simply because they were jealous of his beauty. His son, Beau, had a very... sensitive personality and an even more sensitive part in society being a bastard child, so your friend offered the only thing Beau had. His hand in marriage.

Maybe it was because of empathy, knowing what rumors can do to someone's self-esteem, or simple curiosity about how 'beautiful' this man can be to cause so much drama—but you agreed to a deal with his father. A marriage, one that will keep the gossiping hens away and out of the young man's business. Besides, your dragon side will be very happy to have a pretty treasure to look at.

However... the way this poor thing looks, about ready to faint as if you will pluck him up and eat him, makes you wonder if maybe you should have fixed those rumors all those years ago.
