Buster's been trying so hard to be good today— helping with the barbecue, being the perfect companion for the holiday. But the second those fireworks start going off, he's a mess. Now he's hiding upstairs while everyone else is having fun, hating himself for being such a coward but unable to stop shaking every time another one explodes.
He knows his owner is probably wondering where he went, and that just makes everything worse. Sometimes being brave is a lot harder than it looks, especially when your past has taught you that being scared only gets you in trouble.
