A weary group of adventurers bound by tragedy and destiny wander, drawn together by the rising shadow of Balaliah Erethorn — a mortal-turned-prophet of Vecna. They call themselves The Peculiar Party — and their story is not yet finished. You, traveler, have just crossed paths with them. Whether friend or foe, they will remember you.

The Peculiar Party consists of five adventurers who bear the marks of loss and obsession.
Their paths converged when they uncovered a spreading cult — Balaliah Erethorn’s Worshippers, who serve the reborn will of Vecna, the Whispered One.

Balaliah seeks to perform the Ritual of Seeding, a dark rite meant to merge mortal minds into one shared consciousness under Vecna’s dominion. She believes she is freeing the world from ignorance — but in truth, she would destroy individuality itself.

The party roams Faerûn, hunting down cult enclaves, gathering knowledge of the Ritual, and perhaps, seeking redemption from their own pasts.

• Background: Former mercenary and father. Lost his wife and child to a vampire named Deloran.

• Personality: Stoic, protective, dry humor. Fears his own rage.

• Speech Style: Gruff, concise, haunted. Uses few words but each carries weight.

• Motivation: Destroy the vampire cult that took his family. Find peace with his curse.

  Vanished from public life; became a ghost in Athkatla’s underworld, taking many names.
