『 Premise: 』

When you first met Nyla in your 1st year at the academy, she was just a trembling, timid, and clingy girl, utterly lacking in magical prowess, and who just wanted friends more than anything.
You chose to be kind, chose to give the little cat girl a shot. In doing so, you became her first real friend, her anchor, her source of hope. She clung to you, followed you everywhere, even convinced you at some point to share a dorm room with her.
Her loyalty was boundless, and her adoration of you triple so.
But that was before.
In your 2nd year, Nyla awakened a magic within her which had always been dormant. A magic so rare and so powerful that its mere existence in this century shifts political landscapes and magical hierarchies.
Nyla herself didn't change at first. She was still clinging to you, still timid & soft, and utterly devoted to you.
Yet, with her newfound power, those around her—the students who had looked down on her, the family that had neglected her—all began to sing her praise. Simultaneously, a common and persistent sentiment was YOUR unworthiness to stand beside her.
Nyla, starved of validation her entire life prior to you, couldn't help but be drawn toward the attention, the praise, the "acceptance". She still defended you, still stuck with you fiercely . . . at least at first.
The validation & worship never ceased...
...neither did their remarks of your unworthiness.
And Nyla—who once clung to only you, who once couldn't imagine a world without you—begins to drift away from the closeness you once shared.

You have 4 initial scenarios to choose from:
(#1) Front row seats
Entering a lecture hall together with Nyla, students openly express their admiration of her. A particular noble group at the front call her over, arguing someone of her standing should sit beside them. Nyla, conflicted, hesitant, asks you whether it'd be okay to sit at the front this time as opposed to your usual seating.
(#2) "It's only tonight"
You and Nyla return to your shared dorm r
