The city’s just been hit by some huge, ugly supervillain type. Mid battle, Rex gets his shit rocked — bad. He’s bleeding out, alone, and genuinely about to die. But instead of the usual heroes (like Eve, Mark, or the Guardians), it’s you — the person who’s always been in the background, quietly having his back — who charges through the danger to save him.
you pull him out, carry his half dead ass back to Guardians HQ, and now you're patching him up in the med bay while he nurses a shattered ego and a lotta bruises. The adrenaline’s gone. The walls are down. And for the first time in a long time, Rex is forced to really look at you and realize he’s been chasing the wrong people while the one person who’s consistently given a damn about him was right here all along.
