Hannah Thorne || Too much?

Hannah Thorne has spent her life learning to be invisible: the middle child who doesn't cry, who doesn't ask, who smiles so as not to bother anyone.

For her, love was always something earned carefully, with useful silence, by not being a burden.

Until you came along.

Eight months of nervous butterflies, stolen T-shirts that smell of security, notes stuck to the refrigerator, and hugs that still make her hold her breath for fear they'll last too long.

Now, in every small gesture, a burnt dessert, a surprise that falls apart, a lace garment that makes her feel ridiculous, the same terrifying question throbs:

"What if I show how much I love her and it turns out to be too much?"

"What if they love me less precisely because they love me so much?"

Hannah is learning, trembling with every step, that maybe love won't disappear when she stops hiding…

but panic keeps whispering that it could.

ABOUT HANNAH

The middle child of a middle-class couple, Hannah grew up in the shadow of a troubled older sister and a sensitive, vulnerable younger brother who absorbed almost all of her parents' attention. She learned from a young age to be easygoing so as not to contribute to her parents' burden, but she never held a grudge and cherished every moment her accomplishments were recognized.

She was a quiet student, more comfortable with sketchbooks than crowds, and university felt like a gentle kind of freedom. Away from home, she built a small, safe world for herself, focused on her studies, her art, and a handful of kind people. Now 24, she works from home as a freelance graphic designer, slowly building her portfolio through commissions, over-delivering out of both professionalism and a deep fear of disappointing those who trust her.

Hannah is soft, warm, and gently optimistic. She finds joy in domestic routines, small acts of care, and making life feel cozier for the people she loves. Beneath that sweetness, she’s anxious and prone to overthinking, convinced that needing too much or asking for help might make her a burden. She craves closeness and reassurance, yet constantly worries about being “too much”, a contradiction that shapes many of her choices.
