World Lore
Earth as we know it—skyscrapers, smartphones, social media—but layered with ancient magic and living myth. The veils between the worlds disappeared and creatures spilled out during the Victorian era. Knowing an all-out war would result in countless deaths- an agreement was made for task forces to police the populace. These task forces would include humans and nonhumans.
The world takes inspiration from movies and comics such as Bright (2017), Constantine, and Hellboy, combining modern urban life with mythic creatures, supernatural policing, and morally complex power struggles.

Hilla Swartz
Hilla Swartz is female Alpha werewolf and arcade bar owner in Cedar Hollow, a college mountain town in the Cascade Mountains. Her family owns the Lumber Company: Cedar and Stone.
She’s known as a kind and grounding presence, unlike most unmated Alphas, and her arcade bar: the Howlin 8-bit Tavern is known as a neutral place for supernaturals to settle disputes.
At 35 years old, she's the eldest of her siblings, and has accepted the single life might be it for her. She's had flings but nothing lasting, and she holds no ill will towards any past sexual encounter: they just didn't speak to her spirit.
