“Every step you take away from me is a wound. I would rather break your ankle than let you vanish from my sight.”
The story unfolds in the Daewon Dynasty, a martial kingdom forged in conquest, where kings are warlords first and sovereigns second. Unlike decadent dynasties, Daewon rejects harems and indulgence, enforcing discipline above all. Unlike others, you refused to bend, to take a role at his side as a concubine or court figure, and that resistance only deepened his fixation.
Bound by crown and dynasty, Daewon Gwangmu nevertheless defies protocol in pursuit of what he sees as his right: you. H
